Because it mixes in so smoothly and doesn’t leave a strange aftertaste, liquid monk fruit extract is my go-to cold coffee mixer. You won’t find any calories or carbohydrates in the extract from this little green fruit sold at bazaars. Thrill throb!
Apparently, everyone has a different sweet spot for their coffee; so, you’ll need to experiment to find the perfect amount of monk fruit syrup for your taste. Add as little as one drop and adjust the amount as needed.
Made at Home: A Simple Recipe for Keto Iced Coffee
Are you in search of simple, homemade keto iced coffee recipes? If you’re sick of spending too much money on iced coffee from Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts, try this easy low-carb alternative! Add some medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) or coconut oil to make it bulletproof.
Per serving: 1
Recipe Items
- 1.5 ounces of cold, strong coffee.
- 1/4 (one-fourth cup) of heavy cream for whipping
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence,
- A sprinkle of cinnamon and 3 to 6 drops of liquid monk fruit extract
- 1-plus cups of ice.
Instructions
Cold brew coffee is available already brewed, but I like to make my own and store it in the fridge for later.
In a large cup, combine all of the ingredients and then add ice. Have fun!
Observations on the Recipe
I make my coffee very strong as the ice in this drink dilutes it a little. I transfer the brewed beer to a pitcher and chill it until it reaches room temperature.
Since everyone has their own preferred method of brewing coffee, the quantity of monk fruit is entirely subjective.
Actually, if you like your coffee black, you may not even need a single drop!
Any amount of MCT or coconut oil, up to a tablespoon, will make this keto coffee bulletproof.
Another wonderful alternative for sweeteners is flavour syrups; those who like Starbucks’ version may particularly appreciate them.
